* After-hours availability

After-hours rates are applicable to any machine or test running after closing at 5:00 pm.

All users are authorized to use overnight access for machines that have an autosampler (DSC, TGA) or that can run long scans (XRD, 3Flex) as long as their scan is started at least 30 minutes before closing on a day that the lab is open. Off-campus users' off-campus rates will be double what is posted above.

All other machines (SEM, Spectrophotometers, etc.) can only be reserved for overnight use by trained, on-campus individuals.

** Satellite locations

Some of our equipment is housed in faculty members' labs. In most cases, it is necessary for the user to arrive at the MCL main office (MCE 1325) at the start of their reservation to retrieve consumables or to meet with lab staff. Trained users will be taught how to access these lab spaces during their initial training.
